My 8330 curve is about 3 weeks old. Over the last few days if it taps the right side as I put it down the screen goes white and the red LED lights up. Sometimes it will automatically restart, sometimes I have to restart it myself. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Have you done a battery pull? Try that and report back. You might have an internal problem. When you put it down something is jarred out of place. Do a battery pull first.
