i was just wondering, is it possible to rip a digital copy of a movie to a memory card in a Curve (with Verizon) and have it play, like what can be done with an iPod? i know it can be done on an iPod, but can't be done on a Zune or PSP (unless you convert the format?) but i'm not familiar with playing movies on the Curve and don't know what formats it accepts...
a perfect example would be The Dark Knight, would i be able to rip the digital copy on my dvd to the MicroSD card in my Curve, and have it play on my Curve?
Yes you can do it. I beileve the format is .3gp. Might have been better to ask in the movies section of the forum. Look through here http://forums.crackberry.com/f66/
DVDFab with the mobile plugin will rip a movie to the Curve. My 8GB card will hold nearly 24 movies. Exellent quality too. BTW, it also does Zune and PSP.
There are numerous apps available to do this with. The important things to remember: the screen size is 320x240, video should be encoded in 3GP, with the audio encoded in stereo or mono MP3

I rip DVDs for my iPod with APlus iPod DVD, rips it into 320x240 MP4s. Not only do they play on my iPod, they also play perfectly on my VZW 8330 Curve. It's great, I don't need to do any additional converting and I can pick whatever movies I want out of my iTunes library, simply select them, copy and paste onto my 8gb media card.
