Phone settings get reset everytime an application gets installed/removed

Ok this is pretty annoying. Every time that I install or remove an application or theme, somehow all of my application settings get erased or something.

My BBM always prompts me saying 'You have switched to a new device. Would you like to send a PIN update to your contacts? If not all your contacts will be erased' then when I hit yes, there are duplicate entries because they're listed under contacts AND pending PIN updates.

Also my Texas Hold 'Em Kings 3 progress is gone.

What can I do to prevent this?

You may just need to update your firmware. What OS are you running? (options > about > 3rd line)

Options, security, general, change content protection to disabled.

LOL No, thats a fix for the BBM contacts being all screwy and disapearing, I think it may fix the application/theme issue too.

I have the settings as described above - did so when I first got my curve to solve the contacts problem mentioned. I still have my phone settings (location of icons, theme) reset when install an application. Scratchin' my head.
