You have to download the OS, and install it on your computer. Then you have to go through the How to Recover a Nuked Blackberry procedure.

I'd go with 4.6, but 4.5 will work just fine as well.

Just take it in to your cell phone provider and get a new one. (That's if u have a warrenty) If you do not have a warrenty, ur pretty much out of luck.

Mine is doing the same thing. The screen stays blank but the red light goes on and off every so often. I need to get this thing back up and running so that I can get my contacts (I just got this phone about a month ago and have yet to back up my files). Hopefully I can get it working again...

repieces, follow the Nuked Blackberry link in my sig to reload the OS on your BB. You will lose all your information that was on the phone though.

At one month, you should've had several backups by now...

Oh, so even if I was successful at reloading the software on the phone, I would still lose all my info including my contacts? If that's the case, then I'll just go to the store and get a new one. It appears that the only way to fix a "nuked" BB is to reload the OS and I was hoping that would get my phone running, but only so that I could backup my contacts. If I lose the contacts anyway, than there really is no other option for me and I'm essentially screwed. Am I correct? Thanks for the help guys.

If you try doing this you wont lose your info.
I did that with a drowned bold. It worked perfectly and all the info was there.
Before reloading the OS the only thing the bold did was flashing the red light.

From the referenced link:

"12. Proceed until it asks you if you want to automatically back up and restore. Select DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY BACK UP MY HANDHELD."

How can you not lose any data if you choose DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY BACKUP MY HANDHELD?

Can someone give me a link to where I can download my device software? It's a verizon 8330.

I'll try the link in the post above, but will need to download the device software to my desktop first. Just want to make sure I'm downloading the correct software.
