I used a headset today for the first time. After unplugging the headset, the phone now acts as if it is on "mute". On phone calls, I can hear the other party, but they can not hear me. If I plug the headset back in, then they can hear me too. Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get the phone so that I can speak into it without using a headset and have the other party hear me?

    Thanks.

Common problem that have with a lot corded head phones. The mechanisim in the jack does not relax they are little springs. This makes the device think that head jack is still conencted.

If inserting and removing does not resolve it, the device might need to be replaced.

I inserted/removed the head phones a couple of times and that did the trick. I now have full use of the microphone when the head phones are not being used. Thanks for the suggestion lastraid.
