Is there a way to permanently use the SIM Phone Book?

I keep pressing phone nook > menu > Sim phone book

which gets kind of annoying.

It is not an option to set the SIM card as the default phone book.

If you use the device's address book, you would be able to sync and back them up using the Desktop Manager software on a pc.

No, but you can copy the SIM phone book to the device memory.

Contacts>Menu>SIM Phone Book>Menu>Copy All To Address Book

What about easy way to copy to sim? I have deleted some numbers on accident that I needed because I forgot to save to sim.

Unfortunately saving to the SIM can only be done one at a time, as far as I know...
