    Usually the manual.

What is the device you are trying to pair?

most are 0000, what type of device are you trying pair? It maybe a compatability issue. you may need to call your OEM for the b/t device or your carrier for support

Yeah, for the earpiece, it is (usually) 0000.

When you go to pair other types of devices, like your Berry and your computer, they will generate passkeys at that time.

And if you don't a manual, try the Manf web site.

Have paired many devices to my 8310 and always use 0000 unless the documentation that came with said devices says otherwise. As previous posts state if you can't find it with the device documentation try the manufacturers website.
