I have a verizon 8330. I first saw the 8330m os upgrade, but after reading it i noticed most verizon phones arent the multilanguage, or meid, that the ungrade was for. when the ein upgrade leaked, i downloaded and installed it, and havent had a problem.
i was then going through the sticky post for the upgrade link, and saw that someone posted that (after hitting alt+shift+h) it will show if you need the meid or the ein upgrade. well my phone apparently is meid (atleast it shows an meid number!).
should i just keep the ein .138 on my phone, or upgrade to the following???:
Newest 8330m OS: v4.5.0.138 (Multilanguage) MEID Devices
thats what im thinking. but on my "about" screen, it just says 8330. on my "Status" screen, it lists my MEID number. shouldnt my about screen say 8330m?
sorry to be a pain, but all this technological computer stuff isnt my area of expertise!
well grandpa dan, my question was asked because i previously did an upgrade to FIX something with my phone. i then realized that i MIGHT have done the wrong upgrade, so i asked to be SAFE and see if it would be better to switch to the os upgrade which is the CORRECT upgrade.
so yes, every upgrade i have done, and every question i have asked in this post, was to actually FIX something
yea i installed the .138 non-M os, and havent had an issue. but i just want to be sure that nothing serious could come of it, being that my phone is MEID...thats my concern
