I downloaded version .174 from crackberry for my 8320 tmo but it has been freezing up on me at least once a day. I have to do a battery pull to restart and I have an otterbox cover so its a pain in the a**. So today i thought i would reinstall the os. but i went to the tmo site and they have os version .81. it doesnt matter where i get the os from i was just checking tmo because thats where i got my phone. So which one is newer/better. ANY input would be much appreciated.

Check the sticky's posted on the forum. .81 is what I've been using for over a year and its been working fine. No freezing at all.

i did thats where i got .174 from. i just thought that tmo would have the latest os on thier site.

Your memory card could've been corrupted, common after an OS update. Try taking it out and see if your problems go away. If it looks like it's the card, move your files off the card, format the card in the BB, then move your files back to the card.
