Found OS 4.5.46 (BETA) for BB Curve 8300, 8310 and 8320....
Runs well, better than the other OS above which is an actual release from RIM. I got HTML emails running (sent service books, registered the device and did 2 battery pulls), and I loaded all of my other stuff on there fine...
UMA WORKS!!!! Which is a relief since some beta's were a pain with it (wouldent authenticate to my @Home Linksys router)...
Camera quality is slightly better, the videos work well with the new media player and the recording option is sweet....
Maybe this is the last line?
But there is a catch... theres something new I havent seen called "Quincy" which started to slow down, kill and SEND emails to RIM on the status of the device... I found a place with decent instructions on how to remove it...
Thanks for sharing... the rest of us have known this for days
Doing a search is always good!! And if you only have 18Mb free on your TMo 8320, then I recommend doing some memory optimization. check out stoner's guide!!
I'm running .46 on my AT&T 8310 and when I went to mypoynt to re-install after I upgraded (from .44) I get an error that mypoynt is not compatible with my device.
Anyone else have this issue? I really liked mypoynt and want it back!!!
ok, question... i had an 8100 runnin .42 on it and the bug that got me the most was EVERY time i had a missed call, the red LED would blink continuously. the only way to get this off would be to turn "LED Coverage Indicator" to "ON" and then back off. also it would never notify me of new voicemails. kinda irritating.
but i recently uprgraded to an 8320 and am curious if this happens in the new .46 as well. thanks guy, sry for being long winded w/ this...

I am running OS 4.5.44 just fine on an 8320. The only bug is that no VM icon appears when you have a new VM. No memory leak or flashing LEDs tho!

Thanks,

It is against forum rules to request links for leaked beta software!!
Just downloaded .46 yesterday and also installed it, day 1 so far phone is definetly alot faster especially with multi-tasking on it, so far I am happy will let all of you know more as I go along, and Lance can't answer your question fully, but I can say that this new version does fix alot of things.
On your PC go to Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs (on XP) and Remove the Application - BlackBerry Internal Apps for RIM Version 4.5.0
This will remove the Quincy reporting application that serves us no purpose.
If you have Quincy on your phone then please do the above and then connect your phone to the USB port on the PC and run Desktop MAnager and Appplication Loader and Quincy will be removed.
I've got it on my 8310 after having 4.5.0.42 and now the regular BB Browser isn't there, I just have MEdiaNet. This wouldn't be a problem except that I much preferred the start page of the browser before, with the google search and ability to enter addresses from there.
edit: scratch that. for some reason, it wasn't appearing until I did a battery pull. Weird!
