Hello all. I need help trying to download a picture of my daughter that was sent to me as an attachment in an e-mail. When I try to open, it says this file can't be opened on this device. It is just a jpeg file and its 1 picture. A couple years ago I had a pearl and never had a problem. Is there some sort of setting or am I doing something wrong. When I open the menu using the BB key, there are 2 options. One to open and one to download the attachment. When I try and download it says something like "you can't download this file with your device" Thanks
P.S. - if it takes me a while to respond I am sorry, I am at work out of my truck.

It sounds like yo are doing the correct thing but if may depend on teh data size of the picture. If it is very large data wise then it may not download or open.

Do you have a SD card in your phone? If so what size?

Look under options-advance options-applications. And see if you have app call blackberry attachment services.

I have a 1 gig card at the moment with really nothing on it so I have plenty of space. Also, I don't see the Blackberry attachment services.

Well without that service you wont be able to download attachments. Do you have your current OS on your PC

Okay.. well if you have it.. Try doing a battery pull, after the phone boots back up, try opening the attachment.

It still says this attachment type can not be viewed on your device. Not sure what is going on. I did a battery pull and it still says this. I appreciate the fast response and the help.

I had this issue once i upgraded the OS, its necessary to resend the email and download the att again, then it opedned for me!
