I was trying to send pics from my 8320 4.5 os. And there was no sms option to send the pics. will they still get it even though I send it as mms? what is mms?
This is probably a good thing - too many folks confuse the two and having the sms option vanish for images would help solve that. As mentioned before, sms (short-messaging system or service) is text only... no images can be sent through sms.
My response was more in trying to determine why you didn't receive the images sent to you. Are we sure the sender was using mms & not sms? T-Mo doesn't restrict mms, as far as I know.
A side note - it might have been more descriptive if they called the two formats tms (text messaging system) and pms (picture messaging system) but we all know what the smart alecs would say about pms.
i was sending the pics to my hubby..he says he did not get them..the message on my phone does not have a D next to them like any other message that was sent. ive pulled the battery 2x. tried to resend and nothing..
That's a nice little phone - WiFi & all on a flip. It has sms, mms & ems capability, so I would think it is either a setting on his phone or I am not smart enough to figure it out tonight.
I am sorry, but I've been beating myself up trying to figure out what the issue is. T-mo, good for mms. His phone, good for mms. Your Berry, also good for mms.
The only other thing I can think of is an issue I have when sending pix to my ex-wife's phone (VZW enV - maybe that's why she is an 'ex'). If I forget & send her an image that is too large, she doesn't receive the message either. I have to make sure it is sized appropriately - say 640x480 or so. If I forget & send a 1600x1200, she doesn't get the message. No failure notification or anything. My Berry gives me the famous 'D' and she gets nothing but silence.
