I know it's been asked before, and the usual response seems to be to give a list of the BB operating systems and what they support, but has anyone actually *used* an 8GB card with their 8330 and had the device recognize the full amount of memory? Because I'm hearing conflicting stories and I don't know if I should buy the card or not. Some people say it works, others say it only recognizes 4GB.
So I think it's established that an SDHC card will *work*, strictly speaking, with an 8330, but the real question is, does it *fully* work as it's supposed to.

Yeah, I read that post yesterday, but then today I saw a review on Newegg that flat out said "The Curve only recognizes 4GB". Perhaps he had older software. I think I'll just buy the thing and see for myself!
Thanks guys. The person in the review didn't specify an 8330, so I should have been suspicious from the beginning! Probably a different model with 4.2.2.
I've read that 4.3 on the 8330 is the same (or similar) to 4.5 on other models, and so 4.3 will recognize the full 8GB.
My GF is running OS 4.3 on her curve and it recognizes the 8gb card. You can put a 20gb card if they made them but it will only recognizes it as 8gb. So even if it will only recognize it as 4gb no big deal. I would still buy the 8gb then when they come out with a OS update, it will recognize the other 4gb.
Although strangely enough, even though that's the exact link I ordered from, this one is listing a different seller and slightly lower price! But it's the same card as the one I linked above.

Yep, rest easy. My 8330 recognizes the full amount. I'm also thinking this will solve my song skipping problem, because I noticed that the preinstalled memory card didn't have a speed class on it, so maybe it was just a really slow card.
