    As far as I know, the 8310 still only officially has 4.2 from AT&T. However, I (and many, many others on CB) have been running "official" OS versions from different carriers without much, if any, problem.

    You should give it a shot; you can always rollback to your current OS.

    The link I posted is the official AT&T 4.5 release, and I've had no issues at all with it.

    Oops, I didn't realize that was AT&T. With that cleared up, there should be nothing stopping you now!
