Generally a battery pull is something you would do as a last resort, so my opinon is that a battery pull everyday should not be happening

i have not had to do a hard reset in well over a month now

What necessitates the batter pulls on your device? Is it locking up, freezing or is just running slow?

What apps do you have installed?

What apps do you have running?

How much files free memory do you have?

QuickPull- free app right here on Crackberry- You can set it to reset your phone (same as battery pull) at some obscene hour while your sleeping. Has worked wonders for me! I set it for 4am so i havent had to do battery pulls at all- cleans up memory as well!

I do a quick pull everyday. But I have a pearl and tons of apps.

What apps are you running? Are you closing out correctly? What is your free memory?

QP every day, although it's not necessary. Like R4 said, what's causing you to need to do the BP.

I pull at least once a day. Just to keep things fresh. Is your berry running slow? Why are you needing to do a batt pull

Splashshopper (and its not working properly so maybe it's my bb and not the software)

i dont know how to find out how much memory is left but under status it says file total: 83623936 bytes and file free: 38532350

again, it usually happens when im ping-ing

Not sure what that app is. I would try getting rid of it and see if that helps. Some apps just cause memory issues on the Curve.

Again - what apps are you running? Are you going to menu and close or are you just hitting escape or the red button?

newyork...Hold the ALT & the Back button down together. A window will pop up showing what apps is running. If too many that may be causing some of your problem. I always click the menu button and click close to leave any app.

newyork... Those are the basic apps to be running. If the trouble started to occur after installing the Splashshopper, then I would delete it any see if that helped. You can always reinstall!

You are leaving apps open. They get closed when you do a battery pull.

Ok thanks everyone. I was ready to exchange BB today for a new one so I will uninstall Splashshopper and see what happens. I will also close apps properly. Maybe it's me and not the BB.
