I just looked over at the my blackberry and the hour glass screen came up. It has done this once or twice before now as well, then it will go to the tmo screen, then it will do the check for te security and what not. Is this normal?

How long has it been since you pulled the battery on the device and allowed it to reboot?

Shouldnt be downloading anything i dont think? I havent done a battery pull til just now. 22716296 file free. Is that normal or sound ok?

22.7 mb file free is good. no problem there.

I only have 8mb free on my 8300. But I also installed 10 or so themes, and a few programs. Still, no way they take more than 3-5mb.

8 is way low, go delete something.
