I bought a BB 8330 from someone on Craigslist (flame suit is on). I called Sprint to see if I could switch my number frommy phone to the BB. Turns out the ESN is registered by a corporation that has not released the ESN. I asked if the phone was reported stolen and the guy said no. Am I up the creek without a paddle? Sprint said I couldn't activate it without getting the ESN released. All I want to do is switch my service from the current phone to the BB 8330. Wish I had learned about this site sooner. Thanks for any help.

You need to contact the person you bought it from and have him call the service provider to release the PIN.

Without an ESN release you have a nice calendar and contacts toy.
