So i just got a 8310 and upgraded to the new OS. I uploaded my old bb pearl to the new curve and all my calendar settings wont show up on the home screen when in today theme. How can i change it so it would appear?

Remove the battery while the phone is on. You might have to do it twice. This is happened to me in the past.
