I was on my BB 8330 today looking for a number on my browser. Then it just closed in the middle of searching. The icon disappeared from my application list. It says that I do not have any browser configuration service book entries. I've tried looking for service books on bb's website and with no luck on verizon's website. Fortunately I have Opera Mini, but I want my browser to work.
Any ideas? Merry Christmas!!
I had that problem yesterday. Battery pull worked but it happened again a few hours later. I did as Greg24 suggests and it's been all good since. Fingers still crossed!!
Happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I did a battery pull with no joy, rerouted host table with no joy, and finally resent service books, after which it was resolved. I didn't think service books would affect the browser (just email?) so perhaps it was coincidence?
I'm on Verizon.

Yeah same here other bb is a 8830 on vzw .same probs a few days ago and vzw resent them. Today I did the fix mentioned above and it worked but for how long? I'm sure most with the browser prob noticed bb msnger was down also
