lol yeah the original housing was pretty beat up. even the original trackball looks black from the pictures. ahahaha. but it feels good to rock the clean black'd out berry.

i bought a new housing. LOL yes.. i hope this one doesn't share the same fate as the original either. Time to look for a silicone case. Can anyone recommend a case made for the 8330, w/o the cutout for the signal led like the 8310/8320 etc. The oem blackberry skin looks like it has the cutout which might look wierd on my phone.

I use Invisible Shield on mine. With that you can still show off the BLACK berry, which looks sweet BTW. I've been thinking of taking the plunge on mine. Where did you get the housing from? Also, are you going to complete it with this? BlackBerry 81xx/83xx/88xx black trackball ring- LG, HTC, Apple, SonyEricsson, Tools, BlackBerry, Dopod/O2, BenQ-Siemens, Motorol

Invisible Shield looks like a possible solution. Though a black silicone skin would be nice to. I got the case off ebay from... eBay Store - Tech-zone4world: BlackBerry, Apple IPod Parts, PDA Parts. It came will tools and took about a week to come in from Hong Kong. Install took.. less than 5 minutes.

And about the black trackball ring... I really think the chrome sets it off the black nicely.

Body Glove makes great heavy-duty rubber case with screen shield like OtterBox but not as bulky or pricy...It only comes in BLACK and $15 bucks on ebay...and I have a red 8330 (ps...the cut-out for the LED does't look bad either)

i bought the housing from ebay off of Techzonefourworld ebay store. It came with all the tools required for installation and received everything in about a week. The black home keys came stock since its a 8330 for verizon, but Im sure you can search around ebay for it as well. goodluck!

haha so i was under the impression that i ordered a green trackball on ebay, turns out i bought a blue one. those drinks must've crept up on me. guess mine is going to look like yours until i order a green ball.
