Default new os gone wrong

I installed the new software it it seems like almost everything went wrong. The browser moves slow, bbm will work for a little while and then an error will come up. Uncaught exception: object already exsists. it will freeze here and there espcially the browser. Is it possible to uninstall and reinstall to fix the problems? Please help.

Plz help,i am new at this (this forum and BB Phones) but i took the risk and upgraded the OS from 4.2 to 4.5 and everything went smoothly,i followed everything step by step and then at the end it finished. I unplugged the phone from the USB and it told me to enter my PIN number,i did and it said "PIN number correct" and then the signal light went red and the phone reset, only to do the same thing over and over the next time. I pulled the battery out and the same thing. the only way it works if i pull the sim card out and then it starts up and eveything with the BB works. so i'm at a loss of what to do,any help would be GREATLY appricated. Thanks for the help in advance.

Scoot3r, are you saying that once you took the SIM card out & reinserted it that all is OK? Or are you still having probems?

ok i have been trying some stuff out and this is the thing.with the sim card the belongs to this BB im still having the problems,i put the PIN number in and it just resets, then it asks me to enter the pin and it resets.but i put a different sim in and it works, everything works fine.so its only this one sim card that gives me the problems, and of course its the sim card i need to use for this phone.and i put that same sim card that gives me these problems into an unlocked nokia, and it works fine.but im thinking i may have made a problem since i upgraded the firmware with the sim card inserted. in that case i would need to buy a new sim im thinking now. but again im new at all this so im not really sure. Thanks.

Bronx, I'd go for the upgrade if you feel comfortable enough with the process. Just make sure you follow the steps exactly. I had no problems with it and my only gripe is that the battery life seems to have dropped by about 25%. If you have a half decent charge though, its a non issue.

I just finished the upgrade without any problems. It took 38 minutes and everything that I had before is still there, address book, calendar as well as third party additions.

Right now I am cleaning a few little things up and checking out the new features.

Thanks to all for the help.

I look forward to using all of you and this site quite a bit in the future.

I'm taking the leap as we speak. Fingers crossed.

EDIT: Ouch.. big headache. At some point along the way I've nuked my BB and got stuck into the rebooting loop. I think I've found my way out of it but ugh, just a loss of sleep and all of my apps.

One possible problem but I am not sure if it is related. After I did the upgrade I was able to access my microSD card and now I am getting a message telling me there is a problem with it and I need to check it. I am doing that now. Maybe I should have taken the card out before doing the upgrade.

I will advise when the PC is finish checking for errors.

Chkdsk found errors and fixed them and all is well. No important data lost.

I believe the problem was unrelated to the update. It was just a bad file that I saved on the disk.

OK, now I do have a problem.

I tried to sync my BB with Outlook2007 and when it attempted to sync the address book I received the following error:

"Unable To Read Application Data"

I am able to sync the calendar, tasks and memo pad but not the address book.

Calendar week view is much improved you can actually see adjacent events now as there is a demarcating line. Address book is also prettier
