Welcome to CrackBerry. Yes, I installed it lastnight and it's been running just great all day. I haven't noticed any differences from .69, except a little more memory.

Thanks for the welcome, you too Techluvr!

I downloaded .55 a few months back but it was really buggy and I didn't like it, so I gave up and was going to just wait for AT&T to officially release 4.5, but obviously it's not a priority, so I decided to take another swing with .81, so I'm glad you've had good results so far!

If you search around here, you'll find others who have installed .81 and say it seems stable to them also. That's one reason why I upgraded. Another reason is that I like to play around with my BB and try new things. I can always downgrade.

I have a quick question about upgrading. Everything is already done installing, but right now, it's at the "Restore device data" part on desk top manager, and it's been there for quite some time. The phone loaded up fine and everything, but its been stuck on here for a while. I assume there is a way to load my backed up information onto the phone if I press cancel and skip this part?

I might not be the best one to answer that question. I'm kind of a noob, myself. I always do a complete, separate backup before I upgrade anyway, even though my upgrade does a backup also. I do this just so I feel safer. Maybe someone else here can help you on this.

I did a separate and complete backup just yesterday, and did the upgrade today, that's why I was asking if I could just cancel and load the backup I did yesterday onto my phone.

As long as you have a complete backup, I don't see how you can loose. That why I always go that route.

I have just dl and installed .81 and no memory leaks. But, I somehow lost docs2go on my bb. I am going to go home today and see if I can reinstall it from the app loader in dm but for some reson I don't think it is there. Did anyone else experience this problem when upgrading from .55?

When I upgraded to .55, I had to check a box on the list of new featured to actually get it on there in the first place. Reload the OS and make sure to check the box for it this time.

Where the heck did you find .81? If you look you will find my texting problem thread, that's why I'm looking for it.

First time, long time.

I'm trying to upgrade my personal 8310 OS from 4.2.2.170 to 4.5.0.152 via the ATT page on Blackberry.com.

I downloaded the installer and run it, but receive the following error message while it's updating the component registration:

"Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\9597890E2DD669C449200DA0A6BE4F5 E\6FD0AC9706880864DBFF3D3EB4AA2944. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."

Any help would be great!!!
