In the process of downgrading back to .52. The media player volume in .55 was unacceptable.

I just updated to this OS and upon reboot it says "Enterprise Configuration". But I don't use BES at all. Just BIS. Any ideas on this?

I selected personal.

But I think I just solved it. For some reason it installed the Blackberry MDS runtime. Just deleted and rebooted, no message this time.

Although I just noticed something else. One of my BBM contacts is missing, it says "Contacts (1/2)" and only lists one name.

Good thinking on the MDS

For BBM check to see if they are under "Unavailable"

I don't have an "Unavailable" group in BB Messenger. Just Conversations and Contacts.

The volume level sucks on every 4.5 OS. Never had an issue with this on 4.2 OS. You would think this would have been a simple fix.

I only had a issue on .55. Now I'm back on .52 and happy with volume control again.

Had to go back to .52. Kept getting a database error message when I try to backup.

Edit: downloaded .55 again today. no error messages.

I don't know how many OS have been released in ver4.5, but I will agree there is definitely a sound problem...not as loud at all. Every level acts as though it's the level below it. I.E., Medium, sounds like Low. Loud sounds like Medium, etc.
Being new to the BB world, the Mobile 6 would would have came out with a "tweak," instead of waiting for a new OS to fix-is this true for BBs???

Its just strange this release has a volume problem in media player. .46 and .52 was solid but .55 took a step back. Very disappointing.

I have no issues with volume in the media player or my profiles running .55. Same as it's been since I pulled it out of the box.

Have you attempted to watch a video/movie with headphones? That is when I really noticed the problem compared to last last two releases that I tried. I even had the volume all the way up with audio boost on and was not very loud at all. It has been posted on other forums of this same issue on this build.

Default Getting error during the upgrade

First Post

I am attempting to upgrade the OS to V4.5.0.55 and using the application loader I get the following error:

Invalid Configuration

The application "BlackBerry PGP Email Library cannot be loaded, because it requires the following applications that are not available:

net.rim.platform.ecmascript

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Seems like most are more happy with .52 then .55. All I see for 8310 is .55 I was wondering where I could get the .52 version. I see it is listed for the 8320 but did not know if that version would work on my 8310 or if I need to get the download from somewhere else. Thank you for your help.
