Installed the new OS and it all works great except for two things.
There was one day where my battery was being depelted like crazy, have no idea why. I checked all my programs and they were closed, but my battery was just dying. But I charged it and next day it was fine. I read some issues about battery use being much shorter.

Second and main one for me is WLS stopped working. It continually says Testing Connection but it won't read it. I have a 6GB plan with Rogers.

Any tips? perhaps the settings on my phone?

Just finished upgrading. I'm on AT&T and all seems to be working fine. I really like the voice recorder and video additions. Two things that I've been looking forward to.

1. Can this be used on T-MO UK?
2. What are the advantages of me upgrading to this O.S.?
3. Would it invalidate my warranty?
4. Any known gotcha's?
5. Any loss of performance see after upgrade to this O.S.?

Cheers!

Hi Garz,

Ive downloaded the new os from this site, and am experiencing a problem with the video camera function. Everytime I press the record button, the phone resets. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Two suggestions. 1.Try a battery pull 2. Wipe OS and reload. It may not fix but just a suggestion.

I know there has been a couple of people who had this issue but not many. I'm not sure if they ever fixed.

Did you delete the OS off of your PC?

4.5 has not been released by At&t/Cingular yet. You can run this 4.5.0.55 OS by Vodafone but follow the direction to install. Look at the very first post of the thread for a link and install directions.

I uploaded the 4.5.55 from the link you provided. I'm surprised that it still looks the same though and has all of the AT&T branding/look/feel. I guess I expected it to lose that. I bought this phone from an ATT user and plan to use it in the UK with an O2 SIM. It had an IT restriction on it, so I'm upgrading the OS as part of the instruction list I saw to get rid of it.
