    Hi all.
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I've looked for an answer, but came up dry on my searches.
I am now, courtesy of this forum, an RIM crackhead and will soon be picking up my very first BB. Yep I'm a convert now and, courtesy of this forum once again, will be applying a fat handful of cash on my new "toy" once I get it.

    Now my question.
I will be running on the AT&T network, and plan on getting an 8310 BB. Will I notice any significant difference in speed from my old (3G network) phone, as I know the 8310's aren't 3G? It will be recreational surfing, and not work related, so absolute speed is not a necessity. I just want to know if it will feel as though I went from cable internet back to dial-up.

Thanks all, and I look forward to your answers.

Personally I think 3G is only a bit faster but not a whole lot. Its like DSL compared to cable internet and not dial up to cable internet.
