I'm a brand new BB owner. Never had one before and since I got mine last Saturday I haven't been able to put it down. I am so grateful for this forum because I learn something new every time I read the posts. My question is.....Do I need to register and sign into BIS and what is the purpose of the BIS? I signed up for all my services thru AT&T when I bought it.
BIS is on your BlackBerry by default. There is an icon on your device, called, "Setup Internet Email', that is BIS!
So, if you have an email address you'd like to have on your BlackBerry, like GMail, Hotmail (if before 2000, unless you pay for it) or Yahoo, you can set it up there, and it will deliver emails to your BlackBerry instantly...
Other POP3 accounts will be delivered to your device every 15 minutes or so. Unless, you have a copy of said email sent to your BlackBerry email address [email protected]
