Unhappy Newbie Needs Serious Help!!!

Ok, so I just recently bought a Curve 8300 which I love HOWEVER.....I am trying to get Java but when I go to the Browser and try to find Browser Configuration and enable Java, there isn't even an option. It just says Internet Explorer and I can't get any farther than that. Am I missing a step or does something needed to be updated to find this on my bb? HELP!

Do you mean running Java as in like a web based application through your blackberry? As in if you opened this webpage on a normal PC you would need to have Java by Sun Microsystems installed? If so your bb isnt that sophisticated, it wont run those web apps
