Ok so I recently made a post out there saying if ur paint is coming off ur phone, there is the plastic underneath that is shiny black. Well I'm ordering a new housing that replicates the original housing (maroon) so for just the **** of it, I sanded down the original faceplate. Using extra fine sandpaper, u get a flat black which looks AMAZING bc it makes the keyboard and bezel pop out! So for anyone looking for a project, try it

after wet sanding down, with 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper and soapy water, buff it out with some meguire's plast-X and rub out a few coats of automotive paste wax like turtle wax. you won't believe the shine..... super glossy
hey do the same process with that clearcoat, lightly wet sand it between coats and then buff in a few coats of wax... it will look like the clear coat is about a mile deep
