So I downloaded the newest software update.. and my blackberry desktop manager isn't recognizing it when I connect the blackberry to the computer.. What do I do?

did you get new desktop software, or new os?

Is it DM 4.7? If it is, you have to disable your internet connection first.

Or, remove DM 4.7 using Cntrol Panel's Add/Remove Programs and d'load/install DM 4.6

If you have 4.7 I would recommend getting 4.6, less issues with the Curve.... If you are not on 4.7 reboot the PC to see if it recognizes the device.

Ya I had same problem disconnect internet and than update it. works perfect.

GOD. Jesussssss. WHY ME. All right... well I'll disconnect the internet and then see how it works from there..

EDIT: It started but then it said there was no system update available.

Same thing happaned to me EXACT same lol. Just disconnect internet than re-update it and it will work.

Lady, after you d'loaded the OS file, you did install it to your PC right?

The d'loaded file is actually an OS installer. You have to launch it to install the actual OS to your PC.
