If you don't like the notification sounds just follow blueberry's advice but set the tone to mute for the notifications that you do not want to hear a sound for--like your email.

Oh, and welcome to the world of BB and CB!

I generally have my Curve 8330 on vibrate. How do I change the vibration notification for email or text from 2 vibrations to one? Thanks

    Welcome to CB!

You can get to active profiles two ways.

#1 from your default screen, scroll and click on the little speaker

#2 from your menu icon screen, scroll and click on the little speaker

This is how to access and modify which profile you use. It sounds like you want "phone only", only notified when calls come in, not email.

    I hope this helps.

    Enjoy the addiction

Not exactly. I am sorry if I was not clear. I like the vibration thing for email but it vibrates twice for each email or message and I would simply like once. I know it is possible to change that but am not sure how. Thanks.

Same as above, go into profiles and your email one, there is a *Number of vibrations*, set it there.

If you wish you can also stop the new message indicator. Go to your Message icon and press Menu. Scroll to Options and then choose General Options. From here scroll to Display New Message Indicator and set this to None.
