    Hello,

I had just recently gotten my BB 8310 over the weekend. I am in the process of obtaining a plan that lets me go browse the net etc etc. How is the BB browser and if not what should I be looking at as an upgrade? This question goes as well for GPS and the likes.

So in general, I am just inquiring on what extra apps I could add that would enhance the awesomeness of the BlackBerry unit.

    Thanks.

Thank you for all the advice. What is the difference between the Facebook application and the Viigo? Does the Viigo not technically do the same thing as the FB app but more?

Make sure you get the BB data plan and not a generic PDA data plan. The BB data plan will provide the push email and internet access. You might like to try a HTML viewer for email such as Empower or BBSmart. I have BBSmart and it does an OK job of converting. There are trial versions available so you can try both and see which one works best for you.

For GPS there are several free programs. I have Google maps. The free GPS/maps programs have limited features. Another free app is GPSed which is available from the Crackberry store.

For news sources, Viigo and Piconews are available for free.

bberryone.com has links to mobile blackberry and wap sites.

    Enjoy your new BB Curve!

I am also a new user (Curve 8330-Sprint). I have a picture as my home wallpaper but after syncing with Desktop Manager, the BB defaults back to its original screen and I then have to go back to the picture and re-set it. is there a fix for this? Thanks

also download it via blackberry browser at wap.amazegps.com

Like everyone has mentioned, Opera Mini is awesome.

Nav4All is another GPS app that gives you navigation, free of charge.
