I just bought my 8330 with Verizon. I have read a lot of you talking about new OS how do I know if I need to update mine?

Also I have read about different internet applications what is the difference between these and the browser on the phone and which is best? I already got Viigo.

Maybe some hints too some other good apps I just use the phone for personal use not really any buisness.

    1. Go to "Options" and then "about" to see what the current OS you're running. 4.5 is the latest. Or, open DM on your computer and connect the device, it will tell if there are upgrades available.

Not sure what you mean by "internet applications", do you mean different browsers? Or just applications that access the internet (which is what Viigo would do).

A hint for you would be to read through posts others have made and read about their successes and favorite apps. And better yet, just download everything you can and try it out yourself, and then write your own review.

Most up to date OS for the 8330 is here, along with the how to. I am not sure if the differences in the two would be that great. I know .131 fixed the dreaded speakerblast issue....

The info that Tremortality posted is excellent and is very well written. Just remember to remove the xml file.

    Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

    When in dought ask

    Cheers
