Ok so i did a search for this and i couldn't find the answer i need. I did all the correct steps to set my 8320 curve with Tmo as a modem and i keep getting the same issue pop up. I have to use it through a usb connection since i don't have bluetooth. I've set everything up correctly and have done it time and time again and i keep getting error code that says the "remote connection was terminated" and i'll get a code that says that there was a hardware failure in the modem or other device. I'm running OS 4.5.0.81 and I have DM 4.6 installed. I run the DM while i try to connect and I do have the data plan with Tmo...anyone have an answer for me please? thanks

Try calling 611 and ask to speak to a specialist rep for using your bb as a modem. They are very helpful and will walk you every step of the way.

Step 1: Load up BBDM, connect your device to your computer, and verify BBDM shows as "connected".

Step 2:You must have an internet feature on your Tmo acct and be able to access the internet on your device successfully.

Step 3: Call 611, tell the SIVR either PDA or Blackberry (same dept), and tell them you're using Blackberry as a Modem. If they don't get you right over to that department, ask them to check their scope of support.

I actually do this several times a day. Transfer to the correct dept, that is; not actually configure for use. These steps should get you to the experts.
