Need hlep - no feed

My 8330 suddenly stopped getting updates mid-morning. No Ubersocial feed, no updated email. I've disabled and re-enabled the Verizon connection, and it seems fine. I'm getting a Java i/o error. Any ideas? (besides getting a new phone - it's on my list)

Battery pull?

Any new apps today or recent? if so uninstall and then pull the battery.
