The Media Player uses a stripped down verision of MP4.

Use the Desktop Manager to transfer the files through USB. That will convert them into the correct subformat for the Media Player.

If you are downloading files, look for the 3GP format, they will copy and run without a seperate conversion step.

I use the media manager also to do this. But if you search for blackberry video converters you will find other programs out there if you don;t like the media manager. There have also bee other people post on this forum with ideas just like this as well.

here is one I found just a few minutes ago that is free to download:

Download Blackberry Video Converter 1.13 for Blackberry - Softpedia

I personally use CloneDVD Mobile and AnyDVD from Slysoft at slysoft.com. They aren't free, but they will allow you to rip DVDs and convert them for nearly any type of mobile device you want in one step.

It sometimes pays to drop some money on stuff that makes life easier...
