During the process of updating my OS, the computer got locked up and shut down. There was a backup made, thank God. My BB is now back alive after some work, however, can't find a way to get my third-party themes and games back on it. When I try to open my backup file, it just shows a bunch of what I guess is computer-language. I thought I was knowledgeable with my blackberry, but I guess I'm just smart enough to be dangerous. Any help or ideas would be appreciated! Thanks.

Your 3rd party apps are not automatically backed up by DM. Unless you followed the specific process for backing them up, they are gone.

yeah third party apps are only backed up by doing a workaround using the transfer device feature of dm.

Just go back and download them again. If they were free its easy. If they were paid apps still easy but you'll need your activation codes.
