okay, so i put a password on my phone and when i go to unlock the phone it tells me incorrect password?!?!

what the **** just happened?? i know for sure i'm putting in the password i set it to, i got really pissed putting in my password and now i only have 2 trys left, is there a way i could bypass this?

Did you try a battery pull?

After the battery pull, if it doesn't work, connect your BB to DM and see if it will take the password in DM. If DM accepts the password, do a backup in case you need it for when your BB wipes from password failures.

i don't even have dm on my comp because i haven't upgraded my phone, so i guess i'll have to install that and try that out.

which dm version should i download? the newest?

Try 4.5 or 4.6 without media manager.

Even if you don't do upgrades, you still need DM on your computer to make regular backups for situations like this.

If you can do a backup you won't lose anything because you can do a restore, even if the phone wipes.

okay so i have it on dm and it's still asking me for the password and i only have 2 trys left , if i don't get it it's going to delete everything off my phone, all my apps, numbers, themes, but nothing on my memory card right?

Do you have nubers or caps in your password? if so then you need to use the alt key for the numbers or shift for the caps. I have seen this way too often.

i think maybe while typing the password i accidentally hit another letter and din't notice or something.

9th try not good. The store can do nothing for you. Sorry. You are going to have bite the bullet and most likely have the device wipe. If you typed the password inccorrectly when set up, then you do not have the password right.

pretty sure EVERYTHING that you have dl or put on there will be gone.

Yes. it will completely wipe the phone.
Try to remember if you had used the Caps and alt key (for numbers).

well, all of my apps and themes are still on my phone lol, i don't know how that was possible haha

all of my numbers and email accounts are gone though
