i used the 3-fingered salute about 3 days ago just to clean things out; so, i'm not doing it today. but, this event ought to be a monthly thing unless someone at RIM said it's a bad thing to do.
the first Tuesday of every month sounds fine. gives us a chance to take care of business on those hectic Mondays.
what does pulling your battery actually do? is it kind of like re-starting your computer so that it's fresh and fast?
Given the highly un-serious nature of this thread, I honestly suggest that you try a search. In brief a battery pull kills all running programs, reloads the OS and in doing so, reclaims all used and unused memory. Try this, go to Options, Status and note the file free number. Now do a battery pull and keep it out for 30 secs. Replace the battery and re-check the file free number - higher, right? That's it really.
