OK, I have my gmail account connected to my 8330 and when I send a Gmail message via my laptop, my 8330 says I have a new message. I check it and it's the message I just sent!

Any way to turn this off?

You figure that Gmail would fix this problem due to the endless questions and threads...

Due to the endless questions and threads, I figure the answer should be easy enough to find WITHOUT STARTING YET ANOTHER THREAD.

As far as it being a problem goes, I don't think Google believes it IS a problem. IIRC, I believe it (POP3) was implemented this way to allow users to create an off-line archive of their Gmail mailbox.

If GMail didn't work like this on the BlackBerry, GMail wouldn't be as nice of an email as it is. I mean that the use of labels and the lack of folders is what makes GMail so fast to search.
