    ok so i tried to update my blackberry, and all seem to be going well and then when it was finished and i picked up my phone it had a 561 with like a icon in a circle and a slash going diagnolly....it doesnt connect to the DM or nothing idk what to do..this is my first ever blackberry can someone please help meeeee!!!!!!

    You need to download JL_Cmder and wipe the device. The re-load the OS.

    ya you will connect the bb to your usb WITHOUT the battery in so it doesn't matter if it's frozen

    Plug in the device, Open the DM, select Apploader, add/remove, and step your way to the finish. After that is done, restore from a previous backup.

    this is assuming, the OS is already installed to your computer.

    this just happened to me today. I followed everything the 101 said and I back up and running.

    lol yeaaaaaaa about that i thought i was gonna mess sumtin up cause i thought thats like a very important file....tell me why i have to delete it and if i could just move it somewhere else...cause if it is a important file i dont wanna lose it lol

    It is a carrier specific file that is not needed. It allows you when you to delete it to put any carriers os on your phone. Are you sure you are downloading the correct os for your phone ?

    ooo well some dude put it up on the forums and i have the 8310 so there was a thread about it for my phone....so i read it...it said to delete that specific file...can ya give me a legit link for the os 4.5 for the 8310...cause i want the one that was officially released....i heard it has like a video recorder now

    i followed the blackberry 101 link and everything worked perfectly as it said word for word, except during the third step when it gave us this error when installing

    "Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation."

    we also deleted the vendor.xml file but it didnt make a difference and did the same thing. why does it give us this error?

    That error occures when the BlackBerry fails to reconnect to the computer during the process.
