Hi, I recieved a link from another bb user through the bb messenger with a newer version of the bb messenger (the 5.0) . When it finished downloading my messenger icon dissapeared but it was still showing in the applications list. I had deleted from the application list in a try to download it again or the older version 4.0 fom blackberry.com but its always giving an error that my phone its no compatible with it.....WHAt CAN I DO????
What Curve and OS are you using? There are OSes that are incompatible with BBM 5, but your choices are to upgrade your OS, or if you are a 4.5 OS user, this download of BBM 4.5 should get you going again.
is that really true? the reason i ask is that recently i have been upgrading, downgrading, re-upgrading and hybridizing my OS and naturally changing versions of BBM with each OS change, especially the most recent one to 5.0.0.230/.238 hybrid, tried BBM 5.0, didn't work, downgraded BBM to 4.7, checked it out, no contacts, resent my service books et voila, all of my BBmessenger contacts were back...
