So I set up my gmail on my new curve today and even though there are no new messages in my inbox (on BB or online) the BB still says 1 new message on the main icon screen. I've rebooted the BB and its still there. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this? I'm thinking of just sticking with the google mail app.

Battery pull will work better than a reboot. Try that.
