I recently tried to install SmartView_v2dot3Trial on my Curve. The installation seemed to go correctly, but I cannot get a smartview icon on my desktop. Am I missing something?

If it's the smartviewer, there are no icons, you can enable or disable it when you go to options under messages.

That looked bad - when I went to BBsmart options under messages, I recieve an "Uncaught exception -1" error. Should I just try to delete the app and reinstall, or is this a OS / compatibility issue?

It works fine on mine. Try a battery pull, then an uninstall / reinstall...
