I have an 8330 curve from sprint that I got at Christmas. this may be a dumb question, but here goes. My phone came with a 1gig card. what should i look for in another card? I'm thinking a 4 gig would be right for me. will it make the phone faster on the web? I'm a total newb at this so would someone break it down to like a 5th grade level?

No, it will not make your phone faster in any way.

The memory card is for storage. No matter how big a card you
get it will not add to your total device memory. 96mb in this case.

The advantage to having one is that all your pictures, ringtones,
videos and music can be stored there instead of exhausting
the pitiful device memory these things have. The advantage
there is that you wont see lags, auto deletion of messages,
    call logs, email and such.

Faster on the web? No. It will allow you to add more things to your device, music, ringtones, wallpapers, more pictures taken on your phone with less potential to slow it down as opposed to a 1 gig card being at near full capacity or your actual device memory.

Stay with the more reputable manufacturers and you should have
no problems. My preferences in order are SanDisk, PNY, Kingston
