    I read that the 8320 has native instant messaging clients for the most popular IM platforms (MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, etc). Would it be possible to somehow "port" these clients to the AT&T 8300?

    Not worth the hassle. I say pay for JiveTalk. If you try to install the OS from the 8320 to the 8300, you will have problems...

    Well if you are on the att network, you can download from media net *att's media net* and do a search mobile im. It is free and works great for aim, yahoo and msn.
