Message alert issue

I want to only get vibrate when emails and messages come in and ring only for the phone. I went into options and set each email add to vibrate and mute. I did the same for the messenger and new messages, yet it continues to beep up to three times when an email comes in.


Help please.

Have you set your preferences for both 'Out of Holster' and 'In Holster' - if it's still beeping when out of holster for example, it'll be because you only have your preferred settings 'In Holster'.

Yes, I set both of them to vibrate and mute.

Also interestingly the tone the BB uses I cannot find on the list of tones etc one can choose from. I tried to see if I could track it through finding the tone, but no luck
