    under the security options tab in the config, there is an option for memory cleaning, it's currently disabled.
    what does it do if i enable it?

    Enabled and configured as shown, it will wipe your sensitive personal information whenever you holster the device, or after 5 minutes of inactivity. It's a security feature.

    Memory Cleaning
    Clean When Holstered: Yes
    Clean When Idle: Yes
    Idle Timeout: 5 min
    Show Icon on Home Screen: No

    Address Book Cache
    Certificate Search
    Certificate Status Manager
    Clipboard

    OK, kinda stupid follow-up, but the "cache" it cleans (in address book for example) is not the actual entries, right? It's just like some area with table scraps that are trash anyway...?

    Correct. It's just temp storage that's cleared, not your address book itself.

    BTW, if you set memory cleaning to enable, it will default to disable either every 24 hours or after every reset (I forget which)

    Wnm it is after reset. Mine stays on until I reset every few days

    Pete's correct. I have OS4.2 and mine stays enabled through a reset or battery pull.
