I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST MEMORY CARD AND I CANT GET MY PHONE TO RECOGNIZE IT. iT SAYS ITS NOT FORMATTED. I FOLLOWED THE HELP DIRECTIONS (OPTIONS,MEDIA CARD,TURNED OFF MASS STORAGE SUPPORT, THEN FORMAT) AFTER ALL STEPS ARE COMPLETE IT LOCKS UP MY PHONE. I WAITED THINKING IT WAS TAKING A LONG TIME TO FORMAT, BUT HOW LONG COULD IT TAKE? (30 MINS SO FAR) AM I MISSING SOMETHING? ITS JUST STUCK IN THE MEDIA CARD MENU.

Start with a battery pull. Then try formatting the card on PC if you can.

Battery Pull Didnt Work. How Do I Do It On My Pc? Do I Need My Blackberry Software Installed To Do It?

No, but you do need a card reader for the microSD. Some cards come with a little USB adapter. When you insert the card in the card reader, windows sees it as a removable drive, and then you can format it.
