How much memory does the curve 8330 have on it already.
Do i need to get a memory card, I have downloaded some app,s, but gotten rid of somethings I dont need? ( password keeper, memo pad)

    any advice

If I get a memeory card, will keep my BB running faster?

A memory card is almost a must. All your ringtones, pictures, etc... should be saved on your memory card as to not take vital device memory away.

The 8330 comes with 96mb of memory.

The media card that you can buy and install is for storage only. Pictures, video, ringtones etc can be placed on there instead of the device memory. You cannot install applications on it - So in theory anything on the BB that you have now (pics/tones etc) can move to the card would make things better yes but dont mistake the media card for holding or running your apps....... They are a must for anyone I believe, way to cheap not to have one....

Yeah thats a good point. Apps cannot be stored on a memory card.

You're pretty set on your question. ^ they have answered it.

But I thought I'd add this
BlackBerry Device Software Media Card Size Limit
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2.196 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and later Up to 16 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later Up to 32 GB

I am sure someone will mention Aerize (allows you to store apps to the card) but honestly I find it useless.... It still taps the device memory to run the apps...... I dont see the benefit of using it? Just throwing it out there...

Yeah it's pretty much useless. I heard in the future there will be a OS that supports running apps from the memory card. We will have to wait and see. I don't believe it's true, but one can only hope!

I have 4.5 OS, I dont have too many pics or ringtones downloaded, i am assuming a 4 GB memory card would be OK?

If you dont really use it much a 4gb would be fine. They are all to cheap so...... If your OS higher than 4.5.0.81 then you could go up to 16gb if you wanted........ I use an 8gb, suits me just fine
