I just installed a new media card on my BB. Just took it out of the box and threw it into my BB and it works great. The problem comes when I try to access the card via usb on my computer (no curve). I can't get into the card and it tells me to insert x everytime I try to access it. Is this because I formated it on my curve instead od my comp? I just want to xfer stuff faster than using the media program. Thanks in advance!

You might have to format it on your comp

I'm pretty sure the card has to be in the BB in order for Windows to understand what's on it. The only way to put stuff on it with a card reader is if you formatted it using Windows but then it wouldn't able to be read in the BB.

I could be totally wrong though.

If anybody can take a minute and tell me how to format a media card on the PC, while answering the original post, I'd appreciate it

To format a media card through Windows you'd need a USB card reader. Insert the media card and format as you would a floppy disk through "My Computer". Right click the drive in which the media card is located and select "Format".

I figured it out. I just have to connect my BB and the usb card shows up in my computer! I don't have to use any software
